Who We Are

CivilEngineeringInternships.com (CEI) is an initiative of Project Partners to help develop the next generation of civil engineers. Working together with civil engineering employers, universities, and professional associations across southern California, CEI aims to:

  • Help employers hire more students by making it easy to find interns
  • Help more student engineers gain working experience through internships
  • Help support students in building critical leadership and teamwork skills

 Join Us in Building a Better Tomorrow

Civil Engineering Internships (CEI) goal is to help build the next generation of civil engineers.  We do this in two ways;

  • We promote civil engineering internships by making it easier for employers to find talented interns and for students to get real-world working experience.
  • We help students gain critical non-academically skills of leadership and team building. We do this by supporting civil engineering student competitions such as concrete canoe, steel bridge, earthquake shake table, and many more. We believe by participating in these activities, students gain not only skills, but a passion for civil engineering and will help advance the great profession that it is.

However, due to COVID-19, there has been a significant reduction in available student internships and the cancellation of engineering student competitions. Because of this, we are offering FREE internship job posting through 2021! We want more organizations to hire interns in these complicated times.

When the pandemic is over, we will re-establish our low fees for posting internships and your posting dollars will then be awarded to university teams (through our affiliations with ASCE LA Section) to support various student competitions such as the concrete canoe and steel bridge.

So join us. Help build that passion for civil engineering and give students opportunities to learn the skills needed to become the leaders of tomorrow. Your internship positions and contributions will help foster better prepared and capable future engineers!
