Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern for Summer 2022 to join our Long Beach, CA office. Responsibilities
The individual will work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, site development, drainage systems, passenger and freight rail facilities. Working under the direction of a licensed civil engineer, assignments may include engineering calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and preparation of contract plans for a variety of project types and clients.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation)
- Academic emphasis or demonstrated interest in Transportation engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD) is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office software
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred
