Internship Description
GD Innovation Inc. is seeking a highly talented Intern to be assigned to a project site in Los Angeles County and Orange County. This internship will be a great opportunity to accumulate work experience in both aspects of project management and site supervision in the commercial construction industry.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Work with the field superintendents to assist with manpower counts and retrieve daily reports
+ Prepare daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and all other regular and special documentation as determined by the company and by the project needs.
+ Lead safety meetings and perform safety and quality control reviews and address safety concerns as they arise.
+ Utilize 3-week look-ahead schedules to ensure on-time completion of the project.
+ Direct all field staff to guarantee projects are completed safely, on-time, within budget, and with high-quality results.
+ Work with the project managers to post RFI and document changes
+ Assist the project managers with subcontractor deliverables including submittals, pricing requests and payment applications
+ Clear communication for on-site coordination of all teams and trades.
Minimum Requirements
+ Currently enrolled in University program in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
+ Ability to organize required resources to meet deadlines and achieve high-quality results.
+ Strong technical capabilities and experience using software systems including Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Strong leadership and management qualities.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
+ Ability to read Construction Blueprint
+ Quantity Take-off
+ AutoCAD
+ Speaking Multiple Language (Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and etc)
