My name is Dominic Estrada, and I recently completed my bachelor's in civil engineering in May 2025. In my undergraduate experience, I have participated in construction research under one my professors to look more into trends in LEED certified buildings. Additionally, I am one of the structural leads for my school's Timber Strong Design Build competition. Before all this, I have also had the opportunity to participate in NASA's Community College of Aerospace Scholars program, where I was able to partake in all three mission programs. Currently, I am looking for an opportunity in the Civil Engineering industry to where I will be able to apply my skills/experiences from undergrad.

My name is Tommy Lin. I am a second-year civil and environmental engineering student at University of California, Los Angeles. I am interested in the environmental field as I feel that it is important to take care of our Earth to create a sustainable future and it would give me fulfillment as well having fun at the same time. This can take form as wastewater/drinking water treatment, sustainable waste management, environmental remediation and more!

I am a junior at the University of Southern California studying civil engineering. I have experience in construction engineering, specifically maritime construction, like wharfs and piers. On campus, I am the Vice President of Member Development of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, a member of Women in Engineering and involved with service through the Catholic Center. I am looking for opportunities for hands on learning this summer.

My name is Adrian Horta, and I am a full-time student at the California State University of Long Beach (CSULB), where I am to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in June 2022.  My academic training and experience in the construction field, have prepared me to be an effective candidate in your department. After having worked as both a roof salesman/ estimator, and as an installer, I have taken part in the development of numerous structures located throughout most Southern California Counties. As part of my experience, I have worked closely with customers, contractors, developers, inspectors, and realtors alike in mutual efforts to complete various residential and commercial projects. I am extremely confident in my ability to clearly communicate and execute all that is required to effectively complete a project in an efficient manner. As a result of various drafting classes, I have academic experience in multiple industry-leading drafting software’s such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MicroStation. I am truly passionate about the construction industry and all aspects that it entails.

My name is Seth Watkins, I'm a junior at UCLA studying Civil Engineering.  I would like to be considered for an internship for the summer of 2022. I am  eager to apply what I have learned so far at UCLA while gaining hands on experience in structural/civil engineering, construction management, and related fields. While my actual engineering experience is limited, my relevant skills are not. I have three skills in particular that will make me a valuable contributor to your company on Day One.   Analytical/Critical Thinking- Ask any of my former supervisors and they will tell you that I was frequently asked to work on my own to solve problems I had not encountered before. I am comfortable figuring out how to deal with issues and finding ways to improve outdated systems and work patterns. Computational Prowess- I have a keen attention to detail and enjoy solving problems and ensuring the computations have been done correctly. Unmatched Work Ethic- I am not comfortable waiting for orders or work to become available. I seek out tasks that need to be done and apply my full effort to complete them.   There is more to tell, of course. When we meet, feel free to ask about the years I spent in South America speaking Spanish (and a bit of Portuguese and Guarani) with strangers I would approach on the street. Or how, as a teenager, I raised over $10000 in order to renovate a bald eagle’s habitat at the Santa Ana Zoo as a part of my Eagle Scout project. All of these tales will illustrate to you the industry and zeal I bring to any project.   Finally, I’ll make a personal commitment: I will work so hard and so well that when my internship with you is up, you’ll be sorry to see me go.   I look forward to hearing from you soon.
